USA activist group fights for Information Rights

Quoting my own email signature, the reason to read the Family Guide to Digital Freedom is that "your own civil rights and the quality of your life heavily depend on how software is used around you".

There is a new organization in the USA whose mission seem to be very, very close to that of the Family Guide and this whole website: building grassroots support for “geek” political issues so that never again will citizens be unaware of these issues that affect their daily lives.

GeekPAC is a group of concerned USA citizens dedicated to hot-button political technology issues that affect our daily lives, from copyright reform and the DMCA, to patent reform, net neutrality and online privacy.

We'll see how things develop at GeekPAC, but since it's hard not to see that the items above all are in the Family Guide Table of Contents or mentioned in the book anyway and, of course, I too think that "Information Rights are Human Rights but, as a direct result of closed formats and artificial barriers to entry, the digital divide continues to grow and prevent many from a fair shot at competing in a global economy", I invite all readers from USA to have look at this project and, of course, let us know.
